Hi all,

I was wondering how the reference sequences for RSV-A and RSV-B in nextclade were selected. Were there any special considerations when picking EPI\_ISL\_412866 for RSV-A? I’m assuming a more recent sequence with high-quality was selected, but not sure if there were other considerations.

Best,
Thomas

Hi Thomas,

these are the reference sequences suggested by GISAID. Since RefSeq reference were very old, we chose these instead.

hope this answers your question.
